What must appear on a candle label sold in Australia

- WARNING: A burning candle is an open flame.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep away from children and pets.
- Keep away from anything that can catch fire.
- AS 2926-2016 candle safety statement:
- WARNING: A candle is an open flame.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Keep away from anything that can catch fire.
- Trim wick to 6 mm before use.
- Burn on a heat resistant, level surface, away from drafts.
- Never move a burning candle or one with liquid wax.
- Discontinue use when 10 mm of wax remains.
- Lead free wick (complies with Consumer Goods (Candles with Lead Wicks) Ban 1999).
- In case of exposure, contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 (Australia).
