Editorial Policy

Waxverse is run by working chandlers. Every recipe, supplier ranking, and safety recommendation on this site is editorially independent. Affiliate revenue never decides what we recommend.

How we rank suppliers

For every material, we sort suppliers by trust, not commission. The order is fixed in code and applied identically to every reader.

In-region wholesale: candle-trade specialists in your country that we have personally ordered from.
Global wholesale: trade specialists who ship internationally.
Marketplace fallback: Amazon and equivalents, shown only when no wholesale supplier carries the SKU. Always labelled fallback.

What we will not do

Promote a supplier we have not ordered from.
Reorder rankings in exchange for higher commissions.
Hide negative findings about a partner product.
Publish recipes we have not poured and burned ourselves.

Safety and compliance

CLP labels, IFRA usage levels, and the Starting-point Score are computed from supplier datasheets and footnoted with the verification date. We treat every label as a starting draft for your own verification, never a substitute for it. See our safety sources for the full list.
