Burn behaviour
Performance~15 min to fixCandle burns down one side faster
Uneven burn means the flame is offset from centre, either because the wick is off-centre or a draft is pushing the flame.
Written by Waxverse Studio
Why this happens
Uneven burn means the flame is not sitting central to the vessel. Either the wick is off, the vessel is tilted, or a persistent draft is pushing the flame sideways.
Likely causes
- Off-centre wick.
- Persistent draft from one direction.
- Tilted vessel.
How to diagnose
- Photograph the burn pool at the 1-hour and 2-hour marks.
- Check vessel is sitting flat.
