Performance~15 min to fixWick is off-centre after cure
An off-centre wick burns unevenly, scorches one side of the vessel, and looks shoddy. Fix the rig, not the candle.
Written by Waxverse Studio
Why this happens
The wick drifted before the wax set. This is a rig problem, not a wax problem. Even 3 mm off-centre means one side of the vessel gets scorched and the other never fully melts.
Likely causes
- Wick bar slipped during pour or cure.
- Wick not glued at base.
- Vessel was bumped before set.
How to diagnose
- Inspect wick bar tension and base glue.
