KeraSoy 4130 Vanilla Tealight Batch

KeraSoy 4130 is engineered as a pillar/tealight wax. Used in a wide-base tin it gives a clean release if the customer wants to lift the puck out. Lower fragrance load than container soy.

Ingredients

  • 101 g(101 g × 1)Kerax KeraSoy 4130 Pillar
  • WickECO 10
  • 4 oz Seamless Travel Tin
  • 8.0%(8 g)Vanilla Bean (Fragrance Oil)
  • Pour74°C

Burn notes

Approx. 20 hours per tin. Burn on a heat-safe plate.

Compatibility notes

  • Pour temp 74°C is 1°C below Kerax KeraSoy 4130 Pillar's minimum (75°C). Pouring below the wax's published range (75–85°C) causes premature setting on the vessel walls, frosting, sinkholes, poor glass adhesion (wet spots), and uneven scent distribution. If a fragrance flash point forces you below this minimum, the safer fix is to swap to a wax with a lower pour range or to a higher-flash-point fragrance, not to pour cold.
  • Kerax KeraSoy 4130 Pillar is a pillar/tealight wax, not a container wax. Container waxes are formulated to adhere to glass; pillar waxes are hardened to release from moulds. Swapping them causes wet spots, cracking, or stuck pillars.
  • 4 oz Seamless Travel Tin conducts heat — surface can exceed 60 °C. Always burn on a trivet or coaster. Never hold the vessel while lit. Warn customers on the burn-instruction label.

Method

  1. 01

Weigh wax to the gram. Pillars and votives have no vessel forgiveness; over-pours show.

  2. 02

Melt to 85°C with stearic acid added at 5% of wax weight if you want a harder, brighter pillar.

  3. 03

Stir in fragrance once the wax has cooled to 79°C.

  4. 04

Cool to 74°C while you prepare the mould: pre-warm to 40°C, thread the wick, seal the base with mould sealant.

  5. 05

Pour into the mould in one steady stream, leaving a thumb-width reserve in the pitcher.

  6. 06

As the candle cools, a sinkhole forms around the wick. Poke relief holes and top up with reserved wax at the original pour temperature.

  7. 07

Let the pillar cure 48 hours before unmoulding. Trim the wick and base flat.

  8. 08

Cure a further three days before burning. Burn on a heatproof plate, never unattended.
