Compatibility notes
- Label must declare allergens: Coumarin, Linalool. EU/UK CLP regulation requires fragrance allergens present above 0.01% in the finished product to appear on the label. The Label Generator in Phase 5 handles this automatically.
- 4 oz Seamless Travel Tin conducts heat — surface can exceed 60 °C. Always burn on a trivet or coaster. Never hold the vessel while lit. Warn customers on the burn-instruction label.
Method
- 01
Weigh the wax. Rapeseed-coco blends behave like soy with a slightly hotter throw.
- 02
Melt to 80°C in a double boiler, stirring until clear.
- 03
Cool to 63°C off the heat and stir in fragrance for two minutes.
- 04
Bring to 58°C and pre-warm the vessels to 50°C.
- 05
Pour in a slow continuous stream from a low height to avoid bubbles.
- 06
Set undisturbed for four hours. Tops typically self-level without a heat gun.
- 07
Cure for 14 days minimum before the first burn.
- 08
Trim the wick to 5 mm; first burn at least two hours.
