Burn behaviour
Candle burns down one side faster
Uneven burn means the flame is offset from centre, either because the wick is off-centre or a draft is pushing the flame.

Likely causes
- Off-centre wick.
- Persistent draft from one direction.
- Tilted vessel.
How to diagnose
- Photograph the burn pool at the 1-hour and 2-hour marks.
- Check vessel is sitting flat.
What to change next batch
- 01
Recentre the wick (see off-centre-wick fix).
- 02
Move the candle to a draft-free location.
- 03
Rotate the candle 180° between burns to even out the pool.
