Honey-Wood CB Advanced with HTP 83
HTP 83 throws hot in CB Advanced when the diameter sits in the 73 to 83 mm band. The Libbey at 73 mm is just inside spec; expect a full melt pool by the two-hour mark.

Burn notes
Approx. 46 hours per vessel. Watch for mushrooming, trim every burn.
Method
- 01
Weigh the wax. CB Advanced is creamy and forgiving but rewards careful temperature control.
- 02
Heat to 82°C, stirring until uniform. Avoid scorching, never exceed 90°C.
- 03
Let the wax fall to 71°C, then add fragrance. Stir slowly for at least two minutes.
- 04
Cool to 65°C, swirling occasionally to prevent the wax from setting on the pitcher walls.
- 05
Pre-warm vessels in a 55°C oven for ten minutes. Centre the wick.
- 06
Pour smoothly. CB Advanced gives a flat, creamy top with a single pour when temperatures are right.
- 07
Cure for 14 days. Scent throw on this wax keeps developing past the first week.
- 08
Trim to 5 mm. Allow a full melt pool on the first burn, usually two and a half hours.
