CB Advanced Sandalwood Travel Tins
CB Advanced in tins is overkill in the best way. The fragrance load makes a small vessel punch above its size, useful for sampler sets and pop-up markets.
Ingredients
- 330 gCB Advanced (Coconut-Apricot Blend)
- WickECO 10
- 3×4 oz Seamless Travel Tin
- 10.0%Sandalwood Noir (Fragrance Oil)
- Pour65°C
Burn notes
Approx. 24 hours per tin.
Compatibility notes
- 4 oz Seamless Travel Tin conducts heat — surface can exceed 60 °C. Always burn on a trivet or coaster. Never hold the vessel while lit. Warn customers on the burn-instruction label.
Method
- 01
Weigh the wax. CB Advanced is creamy and forgiving but rewards careful temperature control.
- 02
Heat to 82°C, stirring until uniform. Avoid scorching, never exceed 90°C.
- 03
Let the wax fall to 71°C, then add fragrance. Stir slowly for at least two minutes.
- 04
Cool to 65°C, swirling occasionally to prevent the wax from setting on the pitcher walls.
- 05
Pre-warm vessels in a 55°C oven for ten minutes. Centre the wick.
- 06
Pour smoothly. CB Advanced gives a flat, creamy top with a single pour when temperatures are right.
- 07
Cure for 14 days. Scent throw on this wax keeps developing past the first week.
- 08
Trim to 5 mm. Allow a full melt pool on the first burn, usually two and a half hours.
