Per-oil maximum exceeded: Sandalwood Noir (Fragrance Oil) (12.0% vs 10% max). Manufacturer maximums exist per oil, independent of total wax hold. Exceeding them causes separation, weeping, and off-scent throw.

Method

Weigh the wax. CB Advanced is creamy and forgiving but rewards careful temperature control.

Heat to 82°C, stirring until uniform. Avoid scorching, never exceed 90°C.

Let the wax fall to 72°C, then add fragrance. Stir slowly for at least two minutes.

Cool to 66°C, swirling occasionally to prevent the wax from setting on the pitcher walls.

Pre-warm vessels in a 55°C oven for ten minutes. Centre the wick.

Pour smoothly. CB Advanced gives a flat, creamy top with a single pour when temperatures are right.

Cure for 21 days. Scent throw on this wax keeps developing past the first week.

Trim to 5 mm. Allow a full melt pool on the first burn, usually two and a half hours.
