HTP 83 in paraffin gives a steady centered flame with minimal mushrooming when trimmed each burn. The split load keeps each oil under its own max.

Compatibility notes

Fragrance load 11.0% exceeds IGI 4630 Harmony Blend Paraffin's 10% maximum. Above the wax's maximum hold, fragrance separates, weeps from the candle surface, and creates a fire hazard at the flame.

Method

Weigh the wax precisely. Paraffin is unforgiving with off-recipe ratios.

Melt the wax in a double boiler to 85°C, stirring to dissolve any flakes completely.

Stir in Vybar if used at the recommended dose. Hold at 85°C for two minutes to incorporate.

Cool the wax to 81°C, then add fragrance and dye and stir for two full minutes.

Let the wax come down to 76°C. Pre-warm vessels to 50°C.

Pour steadily. Paraffin can sinkhole, leave a small reserve and top up after the candle sets if needed.

Cool slowly at room temperature. Cure for three to seven days before the first burn.

Trim the wick to 5 mm. First burn: two to three hours to establish the full melt pool.
